CASE STUDY – Electricity Costs for AUTOParkit System
An extremely popular question that is posed to the AUTOParkit Team centers around operational costs – specifically electricity costs required to run the system. It is only natural after learning about 50 HP AC Motors, electrical automation equipment, and backup options for electricity that one would conclude that retrieving a 6,000-pound vehicle in less than 180 seconds requires an enormous amount of electricity. If those are the expectations set by the aforementioned discussion, fortunately, the reality is far from the expectations.
Below is an example of an electricity bill from a project in the Los Angeles area that demonstrates the AUTOParkit System’s electrical efficiency and operational cost-effectiveness in parking/retrieving vehicles.
NOTE: A transaction is defined as either a PARK or a RETREIVE. A PARK moves a vehicle from a Load Bay (drop-off/pick-up location) to a Stall. Conversely, the RETRIEVE moves a vehicle from a Stall to a Load Bay.
NOTE: Vehicles are parked and retrieved from Rack Storage which is unoccupied and unlit space which further contributes to lowering the operational expenses.
The AUTOParkit remains the most efficient method for vehicle parking and reduces operational expenses by 40%.
