Alex Mendikyan, Vice President of Finance

Alex Mendikyan Vice President of Finance joined Dasher Lawless as Director of Finance in 2013. Alex oversees all accounting, finance, and IT matters. He has over fifteen years of finance and management experience and has specialized in the construction and real estate development industries during most of his career. Alex began his career as a Financial Analyst at Emirates Fortune Group of Companies, the USA branch, where he worked for five years as a client manager. Later he was promoted to the CFO position in Dubai, UAE branch, where he managed numerous development projects. Alex received his BS in Economics and Management of Enterprises from the ASUE, Yerevan, Armenia.

Christopher Alan, President

Christopher Alan, founder of Dasher Lawless, a development company specializing in mixed-use and planned developments, based in the San Fernando Valley, has spent over 30 years in the building industry, gaining vast experience in both development and investment. Mr. Alan has dedicated his career to the building of large-tract planned developments, mixed-use, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects throughout the United States including projects in California, Florida, and Ohio.

Most recently, Dasher Lawless received entitlement approvals from the City of Los Angeles to build “The Glen”. The Glen is a new, large-scale, mixed-use, project in the heart of the San Fernando Valley that looks to bring Class A office space, and new retail and residential in manner consistent with smart growth principles. Christopher Alan won the ardent support of the community on The Glen, in direct contrast to what some considered being an impossible task. That success was built upon Mr. Alan’s core principles of his company Dasher Lawless, bettering communities through well thought out development, an inclusive process with neighborhoods and environmental sensitivity. It is important for Christopher Alan to build projects that are not only profitable, but that are also supported and championed by residents of the community in which Dasher Lawless intends to build.

Mr. Alan knows that in order to make a community stronger you have to understand and participate within those communities. To that end, Christopher Alan has donated his time and resources civically to many worthwhile local organizations that look to improve the quality of life for communities, such as the Greater Valley Glen Neighborhood Council, the LACCD – Valley College Construction Oversight Committee, Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks Little League, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Laurel Hall School and St. Francis DeSales Church to name just a few.

In addition to Dasher Lawless Inc., Mr. Alan created AUTOParkit™: Fully Automated Parking Systems (APS). Christopher looks to bring fully automated, “green” parking systems to Los Angeles and the country. Leveraging his building and planning experience, Christopher is dedicated to revolutionizing the parking industry to minimize its impacts on the environment.

Mr. Alan has been recognized for his contributions from the Los Angeles School District, Los Angeles’ City Council, the California State Assembly and the U.S. Congress. Christopher Alan resides in the San Fernando Valley with his wife, Dorian and his two sons, Dasher and Lawless.

Max Williams, AIA, LEED AP, Vice President of Architecture

Max Williams is the Vice President of Architecture for Dasher Lawless. From project conception through project occupancy, he is responsible for the design and execution of Dasher Lawless’ development opportunities and all aspects of the design and government approval processes.

Prior to joining Dasher Lawless, Mr. Williams was a Sr. Associate at Rothenberg Sawasy Architects, Inc. where he worked as the Director of Architecture and managed a staff of 20 architects and designers. A licensed architect, Mr. Williams has more than 35 years of experience in the architecture industry, contributing his expertise to a range of projects worldwide. He has earned the reputation of an accomplished, award winning architect. His wealth of architectural knowledge has been poured into a wide variety of projects — office and commercial buildings, industrial structures, retail spaces, residential complexes, and specialty structures.

Max received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the California Polytechnic University, Pomona. In addition to his work at Dasher Lawless, Max also serves the profession as an adjunct professor of architecture with 29 years of teaching experience for the Los Angeles Community College District, and as an active member and past president of the San Fernando Valley chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Shawn Adams, Vice President of Marketing & Sales

Shawn joined Dasher Lawless to help launch the inaugural AUTOParkit™ for the city of Los Angeles. Shawn has direct responsibility for the product and commercial marketing for Dasher Lawless along with the sales channel.

Shawn Adams is a business executive with more than 30 years of experience in new product development, sales, marketing, corporate expansion, and executive management. He has effectively combined global marketing and product management success with expertise in business unit management, strategy development, risk/exposure management, due diligence and capital planning. His extensive travels in Europe, Pacific Rim and South America had provided a global perspective for a variety of vertical segments including automotive, packaging, semiconductor, food & beverage, and medical.

Prior to joining Dasher Lawless, Shawn held executive roles in Fortune 500, mid-sized and startup organizations. At Rockwell Automation he hired an entirely new development team and launched the first generation of DeviceNet™ products and drove it to an international standard that reshaped the industry. He successfully overhauled the Omron Automation & Safety Pan American marketing strategy.
Shawn graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Computer Science. He holds 5 patents in software and industrial networks. Shawn also contributes his time to Habitat for Humanity while tackling numerous residential construction projects.
